Joan (our Vicar), Nicola (one of our churchwardens), and some of Joan’s family members (nephew,
Peter, and his partner, Liz; resident niece, Sarah; and youngest niece, Catherine,
stepping out from Japan!) are all signed up to share this year’s Christian Aid
Week challenge - they will each be doing 300,000 steps in May. There are many
people in parts of the world walking this distance and more, each month, just
to collect water!
Aid is a relief and development agency which seeks to eradicate extreme poverty
(by tackling its root causes, speaking truth to power, and trying to bring
about lasting change). Supporting people of all faiths and none, around the
world, Christian Aid works with local partners and communities to fight
injustice, respond to humanitarian emergencies, campaign for change, and help
people to claim the services and rights to which they are entitled. To

climate crisis is one of the greatest injustices we face; having a devastating
impact on communities in countries, like Kenya, where families struggle to
survive without a reliable water source.
Please help us to support Christian
Aid’s vital work, as we stand together with those on the frontlines to battle
coronavirus and fight for climate justice. Do consider giving a donation and perhaps
sharing this link with your family and friends.
Thank you for supporting us, and for
supporting Christian Aid.

Our special events have largely been suspended due to Covid-19 restrictions. We look forward to them being able to resume once those restrictions have been lifted.
Please see below for more details of some of the events we had planned.
Couch to 5K - raising funds for The Church of The Good Shepherd
Many thank to all those who sponsored Joan and Nicola for their couch to 5K Challenge. A total of £2,000 was raised plus Gift Aid. Thank you for helping to raise these funds for The Good Shepherd at such a financially challenging time.
