Little Fishes Resumes!

Our Nursery Service is suitable for pre-school aged children, their parents, grandparents and carers.

We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to our Little Fishes Summer Term, at 9:30 on Wednesdays in term time in the Conference Room at Cox Green Community Centre.  Come along for drinks, biscuits, time to play and do activities while chatting with friends, all ending with a short time of worship. Joan B and Pat have put together a lovely programme to keep us all entertained!

We have worked really hard to ensure that we are following all the current rules and restrictions to keep us safe and legal. In light of this we thought we would outline a few things so you know what to expect.

Booking your places

Thankfully some restrictions have eased, so we are able to accommodate more families each week. Our intention is to hold each session outside when the weather is good, however there is a limit to the number of families we can accommodate inside the conference room. We will inform you if we cannot accommodate you if the weather is bad. To make sure places are allocated fairly, please fill in the Little Fishes Google Booking Form (click on the link below) to request your place.  Initially, places will offered on a first come, first served basis, with Katie contacting you by the Tuesday evening to let you know whether or not you have a place.  Anyone who cannot get a place one week will be prioritised for the following week.  With places at a premium, if you have a place but find you cannot make it (for whatever reason) please do let us know so it can be offered to someone else.

The Session

  • When entering the Community Centre, unless exempt, please wear a mask and sanitise your hands at the door (sanitiser provided).
  • Please enter the conference room using the side doors.
  • When the weather is good, please go through the gate on the left side of the Community Centre where you will be directed to our outside area.
  • Please Check-in using the QR code reader on the NHS test and trace app if you have it downloaded on your phone. The code will be available at the sign in table.
  • Sign in and choose one of the ‘stations’ marked out for your family group. There will be bags of activities for each child at your station.
  • We will be doing crafts and rhymes, and listening to a Bible story.
  • At this moment we are not permitted to sing inside so we will listen to songs, do actions or play instruments along to them. We can now sing outside!
  • We are now able to provide biscuits and drinks!
  • We will be making every effort to ensure there is adequate social distancing amongst the adults and ask that you join us in making sure we keep 2 metres away from each other to keep us all safe.

We are really looking forwards to seeing you all again in the coming weeks!

With love from all the Little Fishes Team
