First time visitors

Welcome to the Church of the Good Shepherd  We hope this information will help you feel at home with us.

Parking There is parking available on site, including disabled parking near the entrance to the Centre.  

Disabled Access There is access for wheelchair users, an audio loop and sound system, and large print hymn books and service books for those who need them.  Please just ask.

Cloakroom facilities There are toilets, a disabled toilet and baby-changing facilities in the Centre.

Arriving It is good to arrive at least 5 minutes before the service.  Our Welcomers will be on hand to answer any questions. 

Before the service We can be a chatty bunch so we usually sing some songs to quieten us down before the service starts.  Do join in or use the time for quiet reflection.

imageChildren Children of all ages and their parents/carers are very welcome. Children are invited to join the children's groups or stay in church with their parents if they prefer.  Visit our children's pages for more details. 

Offering/collection A collection will be taken for work of the church during the service.  We can take payments by debit/credit card and Gift Aid envelopes are available – please just ask. 

Communion You are welcome to take communion if you are confirmed, or would usually take communion at your own church. 
We are very happy to bring communion to anyone who may have difficulties coming up to the altar. 

After the service Do stay and chat over tea, coffee, squash and biscuits - we would love to meet you.
